CSA Terms and Conditions
I understand that once I sign up and pay for the membership in full that I have secured my place in the CSA for the season. I’m signing up for Magee Farms CSA share, whether I pay in full or in installments. I am liable for the full amount of the share. If I fail to pay the full amount on time or decide not to participate, I will no longer be eligible for the CSA.
After the date of the first CSA pick-up, there is no refund for cancellation. Members may choose to find an alternative person to buy out the rest of the season’s share, and the share ownership will transfer to the alternate person. The alternate person will pay the original shareholder directly. You will notify Magee Farms of this transaction.
You have two payment options with the Full membership. You can pay the total for the membership in full or you may pay in two monthy installments of $306.00. One charge will be added to your credit card with the inital signup and the second will be charged 30 days later.
If buying a half membership, payment is to be made in full upon sign up.
Picking Up Your Share
I understand that my weekly pick-up will be available at one of our two stand locations. If I am out of town or foreget to pick up my share and cannot find a substitute to pick up my share, I am to notify Magee Farms in advance so my share can either be suspended or given to the Food Pantry or Food Bank.
Pick-up time parameters are specific at each location. It is my responsibility to pick up my share during the designated time period. If I am unable to pick up I will entitle a friend or family member to do so. It is my responsibility to let Magee Farms know in advance, the name of the person chose and what date this will take place. I understand that if my share is not picked up on the designated day, within the designated time, it is donated at the discretion of the site host.
There are no refunds for missed shares.
Sharing Our Season
I understand that as a member, I share in the bounty and the risks of farming, including poor harvests due to unfavorable weather or pests, or a total loss of all crops due to a natural disaster such as flood, drought, tropical storm or hurricane.
By signing up for the CSA, I understand that I will be added to the weekly email list. This is how Magee Farms communicates updates and changes, as well as what will be in the shares each week. Magee Farms will not be held responsible for miscommunications due to emails going to your spam folder. Notify us immediately if you do not receive an email receipt of your payment or weekly In The Bag email.
All our customer’s information is kept strictly confidential. We do not release any information to anyone regarding our customers. We do not sell or make our email addresses or mailing list to any other parties or companies. The registrations web site is secure where your information will be safe.
*To recieve the 5% discount Payment must be paid in full upon sign up for the Full Spring/Summer program and by May 1st for the Fall program. This only applies for full memberships.
You will be given a re-usable bag on the first day of the CSA program. You will need to use this bag to pick up your shares. Should you lose your bag, a new bag will be available for purchase.
